Only a few days are left until the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its gate to public. Mercedes-Benz has made the list of premieres, counting on sustainable solutions for the future mobility, but also on high performance and connectivity.

These is the list of the models Mercedes-Benz will be bringing to Frankfurt.

Mercedes-Benz EQV

Exhibited this past spring as a prototype at the Geneva Motor Show, the new electric model will be revealed in series production variant. It is the world’s first electric MPV and, similar to the conventional model, it can be configured with 6, 7 or 8 seats, in order to meet the demands of families, VIP transportation or cargo shipment.

Mercedes-Benz  A 250 e and B 250 e

Mercedes-Benz A- and B-Class plug-in hybrids are available for the first time, bearing the EQ Power label. They will bear the names of A 250 e and B 250 e and be powered by a system integrating a 1.33-liter 4-cylinder engine of 218 horsepower and a torque of 450 Nm. The prices starting at 36,943.55 and 37,300.55 euros respectively.

Mercedes-AMG A 45 and CLA 45

The all-new Mercedes-AMG A 45 and CLA 45 get the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder engine ever built for series production. The top variants of the two come with 421 horsepower, a figure reserved for the S models. Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe + Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+

the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ with an electrified 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine, that delivers 435 horsepower and a peak torque of 520 Nm. The EQ Boost starter-generator, based on a 48-volt on-board electrical system, temporarily provides it with extra 16 kW and 250 Nm of torque.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 de is also on the list of premieres that will make their debut in Frankfurt.

Mercedes-Benz GLB + Mercedes-AMG GLB 35

Smart EW fortwo Coupe/Cabrio and smart EQ forfour

The electric models will receive a series of design changes, small interior improvements and, according to sources, a battery with a larger storage capacity. It is the first step to converting the brand, half acquired by the Chinese carmaker Geely, into a totally electric car maker.

Mercedes-Benz Experimental Safety Vehicle

With a plug-in hybrid drive system, the Experimental Safety Vehicle is a preview of the future safety technology that will make its way to the series production vehicles. In self-driving mode, the steering wheel and the pedals retract in order to reduce the risk of injury in case of a crash. It is a solution that allows the car maker to install the airbag for the driver directly in the dashboard.

The official list also includes the SC 039 Showcar. As mysterious as the code name may sound, it may be a reference to what Mercedes has been teasing for the past week: the EQS concept, whose interior we have already seen.
