The new Mercedes-Benz GLB 35 4MATIC arrives with a striking design, yet keeping the practical nature of the standard variant, introduced at the beginning of summer, providing space for up to seven occupants.
The world’s first premium compact SUV with seven seats now gets a sportier variant: the new Mercedes-Benz GLB 35 4MATIC is powered by the company’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 306 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, all delivered to all four wheels via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G automatic transmission and via the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
The new variant takes 5.2 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and reaches a top speed electronically limited at 250 km/h.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLB 35 4MATIC offers the raised seating position, combined with generous space and well-balanced off-road performance, Mercedes promises.
For an exhilarating experience behind the steering wheel, the RACE START function is included as standard.
There are five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual, all modifying key parameters, such as the response of the engine, transmissions, suspension and steering, according to the driver’s preferences.
There are also the AMG DYNAMICS agility functions Basic and Advanced, that operate on the torque distribution of the all-wheel drive system, on the steering characteristics and on the intervention thresholds of the newly developed ESP (Electronic Stability Program). Basic is reserved for the Slippery and Comfort drive programs, while Advanced is activated in Sport.
The model gets the AMG high-performance brake system with silver brake calipers and black AMG lettering at the front. It comes with large brake discs, internally ventilated and perforated. There are 350 x 34 mm cast iron brake discs at the front and 330 x 22 mm ones at the rear.
With its striking exterior design, the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC instantly catches the eye. It comes with the AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical slats, a front splitter, a prominent rear apron integrating the two round tailpipes and an AMG roof spoiler for better air flow. The car runs on 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in tantalum grey, but wheels up to 21 inches in size are available on request.
The interior continues the sporty nature of the exterior, thus accommodating seats in black ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfiber with red double topstitching and red seat belts.
There are also two optional Leather packages with a choice of two-tone upholstery for further customization.
The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system also finds room in the new GLB 35 4MATIC, allowing operation with the touchpad, Touch Control buttons on the steering wheel, by voice control or gesture control. The system is activated with a simple “password”: “Hey Mercedes”.
The displays can be configured in three different styles: “Classic”, “Sporty” or “Supersport”.

Just like the standard variant, the AMG-natured SUV is optionally available with a third seat row consisting of two additional individual seats.
