Mercedes-Benz returns to Super Bowl in 2019, a spokesperson for the brand confirmed. The commercial will air during the NFL final on the Sunday, 3rd of February. The game will be broadcast, as usual, on CBS.

The decision is only normal, since the recently inaugurated Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the home of the Atlanta Falcons, will be the venue of the 2019 final. It will be the first time for Atlanta to host the big game after the edition of the year 2000. Another reason would be that Mercedes-Benz USA moved its headquarters from New Jersey to Sandy Springs, 14 miles away from Atlanta, in March 2018.

Mercedes-Benz is the first automotive company to announce its participation in next year’s Super Bowl. The German premium car maker usually skips the Big Game every two years, but the rule does not apply in 2019.

No further details were communicated regarding the three-pointed star company’s plans to rejoin the Super Bowl commercial break, but the German premium car maker will be teasing its upcoming commercial in the near future.

Mercedes-Benz broadcast advertised for the AMG family at this year’s Super Bowl, broadcasting a commercial directed by the Coen brothers. The 60-second film starred actor Peter Fonda, in a tribute to the 1969 production, “Easy Rider”.
