Initially launched in the expensive range-topping GLC 400 4Matic version, the new Mercedes GLC EQ will soon be available in more affordable variants: the single-motor GLC 200 and GLC 250, as well as the dual-motor GLC 300 4Matic and the long range version GLC 300+.
The new Mercedes GLC 400 4Matic, the first electric model built on the new 800-volt MB.EA architecture, debuted as the flagship version with two motors producing 360 kW (489 hp), starting at €71,281. It has become Mercedes’ most successful electric model, recording the highest number of orders in the brand’s history for an EV during the first three months after launch.
As anticipated, the range will be expanded with single- and dual-motor versions featuring lower outputs and smaller battery capacities.
Two new versions will debut in June 2026:
- Mercedes GLC 250 EQ with a single rear-mounted motor producing 260 kW (354 hp) and the 85 kWh NMC battery from the CLA. It will offer a WLTP range of up to 665 km. Estimated price: €64,000.
- Mercedes GLC 300 4Matic EQ with two motors delivering a combined 310 kW (422 hp) and the same 85 kWh net NMC battery from the CLA. It will provide a WLTP range of up to 645 km. Estimated price: €68,000.
As with the CLA, maximum charging power is 320 kW, compared with 330 kW for the GLC 400 4Matic. However, thanks to the smaller 85 kWh net battery (versus 94 kWh net in the GLC 400 4Matic), the 10–80% charging time remains unchanged at 22 minutes.
Two additional versions will arrive in autumn 2026:
- GLC 200 EQ with a single rear-mounted motor producing 230 kW (313 hp), powered by a 64 kWh LFP battery. It will offer a WLTP range of up to 485 km. Estimated price: just under €60,000.
- GLC 300+ EQ with a single rear-mounted motor producing 270 kW (367 hp), paired with the largest battery in the lineup, the 94 kWh net pack from the GLC 400 4Matic. It will deliver the longest range in the range, up to 735 km WLTP (compared with 713 km for the GLC 400 4Matic).
An AMG version with more than 600 hp will follow at a later date.
