The Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift shows its sexy curves for the first time in a teaser photo ahead of its debut set for the 9th of January, at the year’s first auto show in Detroit.

The photo released today by Mercedes-Benz shows the front end of the car that has been spied while testing. The brown model comes with a new LED headlights layout, with a new grille featuring the 3-pointed star logo in the center and powerdomes highlighting the sturdiness of the facelifted model. The rear end is still kept under wraps, but the spy photos have been showing a redesigned bumper and remodelled tailpipes.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift comes with more space and a more sporty character. The refreshed cockpit will meet the new standards of the premium company, bringing high-class materials, but also a larger display and high-end technology.

Updated engines with better fuel economy and lower emissions will find room under that robust hood of the new GLA. The real sporty character of the crossover will perform in the shape of the GLA 45 AMG. The performance model will bear the 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine with an output going from the current 360 HP to 381.
