The new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is now available for order, just one week after its official reveal. How much does the most powerful series Mercedes cost?
The new member of the Mercedes-AMG family, the model that fans have been waiting for, for the past five years is now available for order at authorized dealers. The starting price is of 335,240 euros, VAT included, for the customers in Germany. Back in 2015 when it rolled off the assembly line, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series had a starting price of 250,000 euros and it was, at that time, the most expensive series production Mercedes ever. Now the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series carries over that role.
Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, a street-legal race car
The new Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, revealed last week, comes with the 4.0-liter V8 that develops 730 horsepower and 800 Newton meters of torque, connected to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G and looks inspired by the AMG GT3 racing car. These are the figures that provide it with a 0 to 100 km/h run in just 3.2 seconds and with a top speed of 325 km/h.
The AMG magma beam paint finish, that is reserved exclusively for the AMG GT Black Series, is optionally available in the range.
An aggressive front end includes the massive radiator grille with vertical slats, supporting the Mercedes 3-pointed star in the center. A carbon fiber bonnet with two large exhaust air outlets confirm the racer personality of the car.
Aerodynamic elements direct the air flow and increase the overall downforce, reducing air resistance to a minimum possible.
