Red. The perfect color now that the Valentine’s Day is coming and people who are in love are exchanging gifts. Red little hearts, red little Teddy bears, red little flowers, red little cars. Now wait a minute! Is that what TaTe Design thought of when they wrapped the Mercedes GLE450 AMG Coupe in this brushed red aluminium vinyl?

The Florida-based tuner got their hands on the SUV Coupe and thought that it might look good in hip-hop videos. But only if it stood out a bit more. So they went out of their minds trying to make the new Mercedes baby be hot ride.

After covering its entire body in brushed red aluminium wrap, the tuner in Fort Lauderdale changed its standard wheels with some star-like 22-inch wheels with red center stars and rims to match. The SUV Coupe, powered by a V6 biturbo engine, would develop 367 HP and 520 Nm via the new 9G-Tronic transmission and would run from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 second. But shod with those wheels, we wouldn’t dare to bet on it.

The two louvers in the radiator grille got the same red color and so did the three pointed star, which is though covered in a glossy finish.

Once it was ready, some of the experts at TaTe Design took it for a spin, but got it back into the garage quickly, God forbid he should scratch those wheels or that red wrap.

The video shows the GLE450 AMG Coupe at the gas station next to a purple bright Cadillac SRX. Well, we all picked the wrong entourage some time in our lives.

And anyway, let’s look at the bright side (not bright purple, please!). At least they did not lift it up on some giant wheels, like they do to most of the cars that come to them.
