What is it with baby blue and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class? There’s no way the sweet baby boy color would ever match the gruffness and sturdiness of the G500 4×4². But since Mansory thinks they do, let’s give them the attention they deserve for the sake of the good old days.

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4², with a ground clearance of 450 mm and three locking differentials, rolling on 22-inch solid wheels must have inspired the candid side of the tuners. Except the color, another highlight of the bodywork is the “carbon-fiber as far as the eyes can see”, according to Mansory’s own description.

The front spoiler, the hood, the front wheel arches, the mirror caps, the door handles, the roof, the spoiler, together with the trim pieces are all manufactured from unpainted carbon-fibre. Even the LED headlights are bordered by carbon-fiber frames.

The Mansory G 4×4² is fitted with what they call “Stairway to heaven”: a step that automatically extends to help the occupants climb into the high-ground clearance SUV.

Inside the G500 4×4², there is a flood of carbon once again, with the dashboard and steering wheel receiving such inlays. The seats are now upholstered in a mix of quilted leather and “carbon fabric”. The Mansory logos are visible every here and there, while the topstitching and the beading match the exterior baby blue body color.

And best for last: the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo of the off-road monster now pushes out 485 HP and 710 Nm, a boost of 63 HP and 100 Nm from the standard variant. Well, that’s if the G500 4×4² comes anywhere near anything standard.
