The Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC is getting new siblings. The range now receives a new sports variant with the AMG Line indicative in the end of the designation. At the same time, the basic price was reduced by several thousand euros, from 71.281 euro to 66.068,80 euros including VAT. And with the eco bonus the starting price is now 58.093,80 euros.
Mercedes EQC does not sell at the level expected by the luxury manufacturer. That’s why Mercedes has come up with a series of measures. The first was to reduce the price while offering less standard equipment or reducing the price of options in case of the new AMG version.
The goal was to fall within the price limits for which it is eligible for bonuses in Germany.
In Germany, electric cars with a price of up to 40.000 euros net receive a net bonus of 9.000 euros (6.000 euros from the German state and 3.000 euros from the manufacturer) and those with a price between 40.000 and 65.000 euros net a bonus of 7.500 euros net (5.000 euros from the German state and 2.500 euros from the manufacturer).
With the bonus, the base price of Mercedes EQC 4Matic is now 58.093,80 euro.
To reduce the price, some standard extras are now in the options list. The luggage compartment roller and the Interior Light Package are no longer standard and now cost 71,40 euros and 166,60 euros, respectively. Also the Mirrors Package costs an extra 535,50 euros and the Comfort Seats Package with adjustable lumbar support in 4 directions 238 euros.
The new Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC AMG Line takes its seat at the top of the range. The model comes with an AMG Line Exterior and Interior. It thus gets the AMG-specific Black Panel front grille in a twin-blade design. It features a surround in high-gloss black. There is also an AMG-specific front apron in ajet-wing design with air inlets and trim elements in chrome, but also inserts in high-gloss black. Visible and functional AIR Curtains and 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in tantalum grey complete the image of the electric SUV.
A wider AMG-specific rear apron with non-functional air outlets and a diffuser insert in black make up the rear end.
The sports seats and the upholstery in ARTICO leather/DINAMICA microfiber with medium grey topstitching are part of the equipment. There is a multifunction sports steering in nappa leather with a flattened bottom section and perforated grip area. The driver also gets an AMG sports pedal cluster of brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs. There are also AMG floor mats and chrome door pins.
The new Mercedes-Benz prepared for the EQC 400 4MATIC AMG Line an EASY-PACK luggage compartment cover, the TIREFIT, the Interior Light Package and the Seat Comfort Package. Mirror Package, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, thermal and noise-insulating acoustic glass, Parking Package with reversing camera are also part of the menu. Prices for the new EQC 400 4MATIC AMG Line start at 73,208.80 euros.
In case of the new AMG version, the price of some options has been reduced: Burmester audio system 595 euros (1.011,50 euros), Electrically adjustable driver’s seat/passenger seat with memory function 833 euros/476 euros (952/595 euro at the base version), Energizing package 1.023,40 euros (1.380,40 euro at the base version).
