Mercedes-Benz advertises for the EQC with spectacular and emotional ad. For the video, the German premium car maker joined forces with Canadian solo artist The Weeknd.
The soundtrack of the video is the singer’s new single “Blinding Lights”, released on the 29th of November. The story told by the video goes beyond the advertising of the new electric crossover. Mercedes displays several iconic moments from the brand’s history, traveling through time.
“Blinding Lights” is a video of 2 minutes and 20 seconds. The remaining minute is for the song to play to the end.
The EQC comes as a rival for the Tesla Model X, the Jaguar I-Pace and the Audi E-Tron. The electric crossover comes with an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and with an output of 408 PS and 760 Nm of torque, for an acceleration from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
