Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift made its debut and it’s… electrified. Not electrifying, though, since we won’t be seeing any major changes no matter the perspective we look at it from.

The premium carmaker has fitted a redesigned front fascia. The radiator grille that supports the three-pointed star logo is now flanked by headlights with new graphics. The rear went through subtle mods as well, as discretely indicated by the teaser the company made public one day before. The car is now sporting a new diffuser.

Two new colors are available in the range, so customers will also be able to tick Hyper Blue and Starling Blue. Mercedes has also come up with new wheel designs.

The CLA 250 e Coupe and its Shooting Brake counterpart get 163 PS and 270 Nm of torque out of the 1.3-liter turbo engine working alongside an electric motor for a system output of 218 PS and 450 Nm of torque.

The entry-level version of the gasoline lineup is the CLA 180 with 136 PS and 230 Nm. Higher up in the range there is the CLA 200 going for 163 PS and 270 Nm. Those who decide to go all in can order the 224-PS 350-Nm 2.0-liter CLA 250 4MATIC with a 48-volt electrical system and a belt-driven starter-generator, that brings 14 PS (13 HP) into the equation.

The diesel is here to stay for the CLA, with outputs between 116 and 190 PS.

And wait, there is more. The AMG versions are already here. The Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4MATIC gets 306 PS, while there is 421 PS for the range-topping CLA 45 S 4MATIC+. What’s special about it? It gets the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive with AMG Torque Control. And can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds. Same goes for the Shooting Brake version. But this one won’t be hitting U.S. soil.

The new CLA comes standard with the 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment display, with MBUX. Also standard is the Parking Package. Customers will be getting a steering wheel in Nappa leather. The Burmester stereo with Dolby Atmos tech comes extra.

No word on the pricing yet. The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA will hit the showrooms later this year as a 2024 model year.
