This Mercedes-Benz GLE by Carlex Is Very…. Brown

A Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe entered the shop of Carlex Design. And came out just like you see it in the photos. Aggressively brown. It’s the Polish tuning house’s latest project.

It looks like Carlex worked on the range-topping AMG version, the GLE 63 S Coupe. The SUV coupe rolls off the assembly line with the company’s 4.0-liter biturbo V8 with 610 PS (603 HP). The figures make it flash from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. And these are, most likely, still available today, as the company mentions no extra oomph.

The paint scheme actually comprises a brownish shade of orange that Carlex chose for the lower section of the body, as well as a rich tone of brown for the hood, pillars, roof and tailgate. The car now runs on 22-inch forged alloy wheels. And the Poland-based tuner replaced the three-pointed star logo with the company’s emblem both in the radiator grille and at the rear.

No other tweaks are visible on the outside. But the color scheme continues on board, with the headliner, upper section of the dashboard in brown, while the lower section of it, transmission tunnel, and the seats display orange-brown leather. There is carbon fiber on board as well and the steering wheel sports a plain and perforated leather combo.

How much would you have to pay to make your own Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe look just like this? Carlex is asking for €16,550 (that’s around $17,770) for the exterior package and you’ll have to wait for around 20 days to take it home. And that’s just for the exterior. The wheels add €11,000 to the price.

It only takes 5 days for the interior package to be delivered for a total amount of €32,000.

For the whole package, you’ll need to transfer €56,000 (almost 60,900 in US dollars) to the bank account of Carlex.
