Mercedes will offer no less than six new SUVs in 2015 and 2016: the brand new GLC (successor of the GLK), GLE Coupe, the GLE (successor of ML and more than a simple facelift), GLS (the successor of GL) in 2015, GLC Coupe and the new G-Class in 2016.
2015 is the SUV year for Mercedes. Four new models will be launched in the next months:
– GLE Coupe in July
– GLE in August (GLE Plug-In Hybrid included)
– GLC in September
– GLC Plug-In Hybrid in November
In 2016 will follow the GLC Coupe already confirmed by the first official sketch and the new G-Class.Presented at New York, the new GLE is more than a facelift and a name change. There are so many modifications which allow to consider that the successor of ML is a new model.
– The adaptive drive train Dynamic Select with Comfort, Slippery, Sport, Off-road and Individual will offer a better compromise in on and off-road.
– The new Comand Online multimedia system has an 8 inch free standing display and a touchpad
– New versions in the model range: rear wheel drive for the GLE 250d, GLE 400 4Matic with the new 3 litre V6 bi-turbo and the new GLE 500 e 4Matic with the Plug-In Hybrid propulsion used also in the S 500 e.
Prices starts from 53,966.50 euro for the GLE 250 d.

Presented in January at Detroit Autoshow, GLE Coupe will start in July.
GLE Coupe shares the new architecture with the GLE including adaptive drive train, the new Comand Online multimedia system and the new 3 litre V6 bi-turbo engine.
GLE Coupe is the first Mercedes to get a version of the new AMG Sport model line. With 4Matic and a 367 HP powerful version of the new 3 litre V6 engine, the GLE 450 AMG 4Matic will get the whole DNA of AMG in therms of drive train and brakes.

In September will start the new GLC, the successor of the GLK. The new generation will get a longer wheelbase and a wider track and will be build on the the new C-Class modular MRA platform. The rumours speak also about an AMG version, the former GLK being one of the few Mercedes-Benz without an AMG treatment.
The GLC will be the fourth model from a list of ten to get a Plug-In Hybrid version which will use the same propulsion system from the new C 350 e. The GLC 350 e will start in November.

On long-therm, the compact GLA will get a bigger brother. For the second generation of the compact model range which will be based on the MFA2 platform, Mercedes has eight versions in plan instead of five actually.
