The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S becomes a police car in Dubai, joining an exclusive fleet of supercars. From 2021, the Tesla Cybertruck will fight the perpetrators in the United Arab Emirates.
A Porsche 918 Spyder, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a BMW M5, a Ferrari FF, a Bentley Continental GT, a Brabus-tuned G-Class a Bugatti Veyron and now a Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S are the cars that keep the peace around one of the most luxurious cities in the world. The 4-door variant of the AMG GT range now joins the jaw-dropping police fleet of Dubai.
The car will be patrolling the busy touristic spots of the city that hosts the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, and the world’s single 7-star hotel, the Burj al Arab Jumeirah, making sure that the security forces maintain a space of safety and calm.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-door coupe is powered by the company’s 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, that develops 610 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque and is connected to an all-wheel drive 4MATIC+ system, that transfers torque to all for wheels. The car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 315 km/h (195 mph). these are the figures that convinced the United Arab Emirates authorities that is the right car to bear the white-and-green livery of the local police forces.
As always Dubai’s police force never disappoints! I cant imagine speeding in Dubai with lets say the McLaren Senna or MB AMG GTR, perhaps it will be a scene for Need for Speed 2. Given the Dubai’s police authorities having great collection of cars, I wonder if they will decide to have the EQ series from MB soon?
I don’t think so because if they push hard the throtthle the battery will empty very quick.
