It has been half a century since the first AMG vehicle first set wheel on the road, so the Mercedes power house thought it is the right time to launch special editions for those who are looking for that special something. So this is how the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50, the C 63 Cabriolet and the C 63 S Cabriolet Blue Edition, the C 43 4MATIC Coupé and the C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet Night Edition saw the light of day.
“2016 was the most successful year so far in our company history. We shall be using this momentum to fill even more customers with enthusiasm for Mercedes-AMG in our anniversary year, 2017. We shall be supported in this by our new Editions, which we are presenting at the Geneva Motor Show.”, explained Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50
It can’t get more exclusive than that. The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 will only come in a limited quantity of 500 cars worldwide.
Easily identifiable by its two special paint finishes in designo graphite grey magno or designo cashmere white magno, features chrome accents applied to the side skirt trim, the front splitter, the trim strips in the air intakes of the Panamericana grille, the fins on the side air outlets in the front wings, the trim on the rear diffuser and the exhaust tailpipe trim elements.
The interior contrasting black and white combo is accompanied by the STYLE Exclusive nappa leather in silver pearl/black with grey diamond-patterned topstitching. The black AMG Performance steering wheel in DINAMICA microfibre with grey contrasting topstitching features the 12 o’clock mark in silver pearl, the “Edition 50” lettering plus a note on the limitation of the model.
The special edition comes as standard with the AMG Interior Night package, which includes steering wheel spokes, shift paddles and door sill panels in black. The head restraint of the AMG Performance seat is embossed with the “GT Edition 50” logo.
Mercedes-AMG C 63 Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition
Ready for the summer, the Ocean Blue Edition for the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Cabriolet and C 63 S Cabriolet are the trendy means of transportation particularly designed for a fashion-conscious target group and is limited to 150 units only. The special feature of the special edition is – as the name hints – the new deep ocean blue colored soft top, that is also featured on various details of the car, in combination with the paint finishes designo cashmere white magno and designo selenite grey magno.
The fashionable crystal grey interior atmosphere is emphasized by the nappa leather with lavish diamond quilting and deep ocean blue contrasting topstitching, combined with trim in matt silver glass fibre (high-gloss carbon fibre as a no-cost option) with the Edition badge in the centre console. The fine sporty feeling is reinforced by the steering wheel in black rim, featuring a flattened bottom section, in nappa leather and silver-coloured buttons.
The car comes with the Mercedes cabriolet typical features as the AIRSCARF neck-level heating and climatised seats, defying the weather conditions and providing all-year round optimum comfort.
Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupé and Cabriolet Night Edition
For the first time, the cabriolet too is available with black exterior details. The diamond radiator grille is covered in a black dots pattern. The trim strips on the front splitter, on the rear apron and the side skirts are also painted in black and same goes for the spoiler lip on the boot lid and the tailpipe trim elements on the exhaust system.
The cars run on 19-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheels, painted in matt black for the first time and featuring contrasting high-sheen rim flanges.
The interior matches the design of the exterior looks. The rim of the Performance steering wheel, in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfibre, with its flattened bottom section is also in black and a badge on the centre console flags up the Night Edition.
Those who are looking for the summer can order their future special edition Mercedes starting March, 6th. The deliveries for the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Cabriolet and C 63 S Cabriolet Ocean Blue Edition, Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupé and Cabriolet Night Edition will start in June, while the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 will reach its new drivers starting July. All of them shall be the stars of the Geneva Motor Show.
