It has been exactly one year since the Mercedes-AMG GT saw the light of day in a spectacular presentation at the AMG Affalterbach home. But it still draws tuning houses like a magnet. It’s not that it does not look like it should. But its design and power are pure inspiration. It is now Prior Design’s turn to give their version of the GT S.
The German tuning company has just made these photos public. They display the Mercedes super sporty, the S version, fitted with a widebody kit, that gives it more stance and aggressiveness. As for the powertrain, it’s still intact, since the “surgeons” from Prior Design just made a… plastic surgery.
A plastic surgery that targeted the addition of a new custom-made bonnet, which incorporates four air extractors, a prominent front splitter, side air vents inserts, flared front and rear wheel arches, side skirts, while the rear has been fitted with a ducktail spoiler, a new diffuser and quad rear canards. All the components are made from high-quality Fiberglass-Duraflex mix, a material which is both flexible and solid.
As for the wheels that help it run its usual 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, they are the PD3Forged Superlight, with an ultimate design, but no word on the size.
The experts at Prior Design can also offer a custom made interior, as well as a custom exhaust system, upon request.
As we were saying, the work of the Prior Design experts left the engine of the Mercedes-AMG GT S intact. The AMG 4.0-liter V8 still develops 510 HP and 650 Nm of torque. The car brings out the best out of those figures, as it can reach an electronically limited 310 km/h (193 mph) top speed.
