Mercedes is launching a limited edition of just 50 units, called the Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition, featuring a hand-crafted interior, multi-tone paintwork, and details finished in 24-carat gold.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is the only model to retain the legendary 6.0-liter Mercedes V12 engine. It develops 612 PS and 900 Nm, accelerating the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
To celebrate over 100 years of innovation, craftsmanship, and design—and the V12 engine first introduced in the early 1930s on the Maybach Zeppelin—Mercedes has created this limited series named Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition.
This model comes with nearly all optional features available for the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, including electrically operated comfort rear doors, active road noise compensation for an even quieter cabin, rear-axle steering, E-Active Body Control active suspension for improved comfort and agility, and the MBUX multimedia system.
The special edition is finished in two-tone paint: Manufaktur olive metallic on the upper body and obsidian black metallic on the lower section, highlighted by a contrasting high-tech silver metallic pinstripe.
The paint application process takes 10 working days—twice as long as the standard two-tone finish on a Maybach.
The limited edition rides on five-hole forged wheels painted in the same Manufaktur olive metallic.
The Maybach double-M emblem is paired with a chrome and gold medallion featuring a large “12” in tribute to the legendary hood ornament of the Maybach Zeppelin DS 8. The 24-carat gold medallion ring is decorated with delicate diamond engraving in a 12-part division.
The interior is upholstered in exclusive Manufaktur saddle brown Nappa leather with high-gloss brown burr walnut inlays. The hand-crafted steering wheel requires many hours of precision work. The headliner is finished in diamond-quilted saddle brown, and the “1 of 50” inscription on the center console certifies the limited edition.
Each of the 50 units includes bespoke accessories such as Robbe & Berking silver-plated champagne flutes with edition-specific engraving, a trunk mat with saddle brown edging to match the interior, a handcrafted key gift box made at the Sindelfingen Manufaktur, and an edition-specific key ring.
The Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition will be available only in selected markets—though Mercedes has not specified which ones—and will be offered starting in autumn 2025.
