Environmentalists, green car lovers and adopters of the eco trend, it’s high time you prepared your wallets and bank accounts because the Mercedes-Benz C 350e plug-in hybrid has just revealed its prices.
After just a few weeks from its official debut at NAIAS 2015, the C 350e plug-in hybrid is back, this time ready for its customers to make a move and buy it.
In this respect, Mercedes-Benz released pricing information for its newest plug-in hybrid model. Therefore, the C 350e is available to order now from 50,962 euros for the sedan (including VAT) and 52,628 euros for the estate version (including VAT).
The C 350e plug-in hybrid is powered by a duo made of a combustion engine and an electric drive system powered by a high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 6.28 kWh.
In other words, a four-cylinder 2.0-liter petrol engine producing 211 hp (155 kW) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm is paired to an electric motor delivering 60 kW and 340 Nm of torque. The entire hybrid system offers a total output of 279 hp (205 kW) and 600 Nm of torque, managed via a standard-fit 7G-TRONIC PLUS 7-speed automatic transmission.
In both the sedan and estate guise, the Mercedes-Benz C 350e offers a combined fuel consumption figure of just 2.1 l/100 km and an all-electric range of up to 31 kilometres.
The battery can be charged from an external power source; one charging cycle lasts around one hour and a half when done at a wallbox or two hours when done from a socket.
The driver can select one of the four driving modes – HYBRID, E-MODE, E-SAVE and CHARGE for a customized driving experience.
Both the saloon and the estate model are equipped with air suspension and a pre-entry climate control system as standard. They are also expected to reach dealerships from March 2015.
