The Mercedes-AMG A35 has been caught by the spy photographers while testing in the streets of Germany, not far from Stuttgart. The prototype recently spotted is wearing a thick layer of camouflage.
The rooftop and the door handles of the car, all in red, are the only ones being left out in the open. Beneath the usual monochrome camouflage, the viewer can identify the light signature of the model both at the front and at the rear. Also at the rear, an aggressively-styled air diffuser and a dual exhaust system, with only one pipe seeming to be active, can be spotted in the video shot by the expert-spy photographer Walko.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 will be set in motion by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, capable of developing 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, which leaves enough space for the more potent A45, rated at 400 horsepower. Thus the A35 will be positioned right above the standard A-Class and beneath the hotter A45 in terms of price and power.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 series model will be presented by the end of this year, most likely in October, at the Paris Motor Show or the Los Angeles Motor Show in November, and it will hit the showrooms next year as a 2020 model.
