Launched in April 2018, the Mercedes A-Class will undergo a facelift operation in 2022.

The smallest Mercedes model will undergo a facelift operation in 2022, 4 years after its launch. The model was caught in the vicinity of Stuttgart by colleagues from auto motor und sport magazine. As can be seen in the first spy photos, the car is only slightly camouflaged, only the radiator grille is covered.

The reason is that the radiator grille will be new and will have a new radar sensor. Discrete changes will also take place at the headlights and taillights and at the front. Also, the assistance systems will be modernized and will be updated.

The current generation, codenamed W177, has been on the market since April 2018. As for the engines, Mercedes will completely give up Renault engines.
As early as last month, the A-Class was the latest compact model from Mercedes to abandon Renault’s 1.5-liter diesel in favor of an inflated version of its own 2-liter OM654q diesel with the same power as the former 1.5 dCi , of 116 CP. In the future, Mercedes will also give up the petrol engines made with Renault and the Mercedes A-Class facelift will use the new 4-cylinder engines produced in China by Geely and developed by Mercedes.
