The new Mercedes C 400 4Matic EQ, currently available only in the top version with dual electric motors and electric all-wheel drive, starts at €67,711, which is €3,500 less than the Mercedes GLC 400 4Matic.

Mercedes has announced pricing for the new electric sedan, with prices starting at €67,711. This is €3,570 lower than the €71,281 price tag of the Mercedes GLC 400 4Matic EQ.

Thus, the electric Mercedes C 400 4Matic is actually cheaper than the entry-level PHEV version, the Mercedes C 300 e 4Matic with 313 HP, which costs 68,906 euros (there is also the Mercedes C 400 e 4Matic with 381 HP, priced at 73,428 euros).

For now, Mercedes C 400 4Matic is the only available version, but single-motor variants and a top-of-the-range AMG model will follow later.

The Mercedes C 400 4Matic comes standard with the Avantgarde trim line, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Comfort seats, and a multifunction steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather.

The AMG Line costs €3,451 and adds 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, AMG exterior spoilers, sport engine sound, natural fiber honeycomb design white open-pored trim inserts, and AMG sport pedals.

Customers can also opt for the more expensive AMG Line Plus package priced at €7,556, which includes the AMG Line, Night Package (€975.80), 20-inch AMG wheels, Artico imitation leather with Nappa look / Microcut black microfiber upholstery with contrasting red stitching, an AMG rear spoiler, and red seat belts.

Those who prefer a vegan interior without leather can choose the Vegan Interior package at no extra cost.

There are also three equipment packages available:

  • Advanced Plus with Digital Extras (€3,570) includes a panoramic Sky Control roof, MBUX Superscreen with three displays including a passenger display, Ambient Lighting, illuminated Mercedes-Benz iconic grille with partially illuminated Mercedes star, and the Memory Package.
  • Premium with Digital Extras (€7,497) adds to the Advanced Plus package with Digital Extras by including Digital Light headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a Burmester 3D Surround sound system, Keyless-Go, and a dual wireless charging system for mobile phones.
  • Premium Plus with Digital Extras (€11,543) adds to the Premium package with Digital Extras by including the MBUX Hyperscreen stretching across the entire dashboard, a Burmester 4D Surround sound system, ventilated front sport seats with massage function, and heated rear seats.

Metallic paint finishes cost €964, while special Manufaktur colors are available for €1,773 (Patagonia Red Metallic, Opalite White Bright) or Alpingrey Uni for €2,796.

In addition to the Artico artificial leather upholstery (€277–446), natural leather upholstery is also available (€2,011–2,189).

The three-year Digital Extras subscription, which includes access to video and audio streaming apps, costs €226.

However, the most important option is the Agility & Comfort package (€2,844), which includes adaptive air suspension and rear-wheel steering with a steering angle of 4.5 degrees.

11 kW AC charging comes standard, but upgrading to 22 kW AC charging costs an additional €654. The same amount must also be paid if you want to charge at older 400V DC charging stations.

That’s a pretty significant price difference between the C 400 and the GLC 400. It makes you wonder how much of that savings is due to the electric components.
