Mercedes SLK is the most reliable car according to TUV report 2015. The compact roadster has a failure rate of only 2.4%, the lowest of all 226 models tested.
TUV report analyses the defect rate of different models according to their age. The cars are classified in five categories: 2-3 years old, 4-5 years old, 6-7 years old, 8-9 years old and 10-11 years old.
8.5 millions data were registered this year from 226 models.
63.9% of the vehicles were free of defects, 12.5% reported only minor shortcomings, meanwhile 23.5% of the vehicles tested presented significant deficiencies.
Three Mercedes models are the most reliable in their segments
In the category 2-3 years old, Mercedes SLK (R172) won with a defect rate of only 2.4%. This is the lowest defect rate registered this year for the TUV report 2015. The SLK was followed by the Audi A6 (2.9%) and by the Mercedes GLK (3.9%).

For the first time in history, TUV has made a classification not only on age categories, but also on segments. Mercedes-Benz obtained two other victories after the SLK was declared the most reliable roadster.
Mercedes C-Class is the most reliable in the middle class segment and Mercedes GLK is the most reliable SUV.
