It seems that the Brabus team just can’t keep their hands away from the G-Class. After pumping up the Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×42 as if it ever needed such pumping, the tuning house focused on the Mercedes-Benz G550.
Its timeless design has been attracting tuning companies ever since forever. It is that kind of car that can get away with anything. Brabus seems to know it, so the tuning company granted it with a somewhat military livery.
Test drive Mercedes-Benz G 500 – The brute with good manners
The SUV that withstood the test of time is covered in a Desert Storm Satin paint. The car got extra LED lighting bars on the roof, together with a Brabus wide body kit, that also includes more prominent fenders, to make it ever more impressive.
To make itself seen on the battlefield, the army-ready G received red Forgiato wheels, made – as the wheel manufacturer claims – to “further enhance the stature and attract a few eyeballs”. Mission accomplished, it seems.
The interior is more of a plush zone than a that of a military service vehicle. The tuner has fitted black and red leather with contrasting diamond stitching on the seats, the door panels, the floor mats, claiming that the cabin is now “nothing short of supreme”.
