Scheduled for the 25th of April, at the Beijing Motor Show, the reveal of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan might happen much faster, since unofficial photos of the car have already hit the world wide web.

The image is accompanied by the “A-Class L Sport Sedan” text, with the L hinting to a long-wheelbase variant, reserved for the Chinese market only. The rest of the world will get the standard wheelbase model.

The sedan shows lines similar to the hatchback all the way to the rear pillar. The car sports the same exact front fascia, with the diamond radiator grille, front bumper and LEDs identical to its hatchback twin. The large air intakes with black partition blades and the set of sporty double 5-spoke alloy wheels are also there. Yet the roofline comes sloping down towards the rear, as much as we can see in the leaked photo.

The spy photos have revealed much of the rear lines as well, with sleek LED taillights and probably a larger boot opening than the sedan built on the same platform, the CLA.

Inside the A-Class sedan there is a big chance we’ll find the exact same dashboard concept as in the hatchback, with rotor-like air vents, new steering wheel and MBUX user interface with voice control and navigation system.

The engine range will be taken from the A-Class hatchback as well, including the 1.3-liter petrol engine, though the Chinese market will have different demands. The A-Class sedan will initially be launched in China only, to fight the BMW 1 Series Sedan and the Audi A3 Sedan.
