The war of the amount of horse-power that a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine can produce is currently won by Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG, with it’s strong 360 HP output. But GAD Motors can do better…
We’ve seen recently that Audi is threatening A 45 AMG’s supremacy with a future turbocharged 2.0 liter 400 HP engine, showcased on the TT Sportback concept. Which is 40 HP more than the current A 45 AMG, so that’s a challenge. What if someone could easily go beyond this barrier?
That someone is the german specialist GAD Motors, that offers an upgrade of the M133 engine in the A 45 AMG. By remapping the engine’s ECU and replacing the airfilter, the car is now more powerful: 427 HP (that is a plus of 87 HP!) and a maximum torque of 550 Nm (which is 100 Nm more than the standard A 45 AMG). And in the future GAD Motors promises us that we’ll see an even more powerful engine!
For the moment, the A 45 AMG modified by GAD Motors has better acceleration: 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds (0.5 seconds better that the standard car) and 0-200 km/h in 14.3 seconds. Meanwhile the maximum speed limitator vanished. So it’s easy for the car to reach 300 km/h. All of this for a mere 2.800 euros in Germany.
In order for the powerful A 45 AMG by GAD Motors to convince the viewers even when standing by, the car can be fitted with a 19-inch OZ Racing Superforgiata set of wheels, but also with a green wrap and some stickers. Now we’d like to see who dares to challenge this Green Menace!
