Book now! Mercedes-Benz X-Class can already be reserved

Mercedes-Benz has just opened the reservation book for the company’s first pick-up, the X-Class. Now the United Kingdom residents who have got their eyes set on the luxury workhorse can leave a refundable reservation fee. The move comes in response to what the car maker calls “phenomenal early demand”.

The Mercedes-Benz X-Class will be based on the current Nissan Navara, but will lift the luxury features characteristic to the three-pointed star brand. The pick-up is set to see the light of sometime this year. Those who are willing to get one, can now jump all the way to the head of the waiting line by leaving a deposit of 1,000 pounds.

Steve Bridge, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, said that “Many customers we have spoken to have a strong desire to be amongst the first to own the new X-Class, which is incredible considering that it hasn’t been unveiled yet!”

Therefore, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class, that will be manufactured in Cordoba, Argentina, for the Latin American market and in Barcelona, Spain, for the European market, is now available for order on the Mercedes-Benz Vans webpage.

The X-Class will be powered by a V6 diesel engine and will be standardly fit with the company’s 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive, with an electronic traction system, a transfer case with reduction gear, and two differential locks.. The pick-up shall boast a payload in excess of 1100 kg and a 3.5-ton towing capacity, in order to fight opponents like its brother in platform Nissan Navara and the American Ford Ranger.
