Based on the first teaser of the upcoming Mercedes C-Class EQ, we present how the new mid-size electric sedan from Mercedes might look. It will use the same MB.EA dedicated electric platform as the GLC EQ SUV and three versions of batteries.

In the first official teaser released on October 25, you can see the new headlights with a light signature that reproduces the Mercedes logo, framing the new grille borrowed from the GLC EQ SUV.
The new grille is a true work of art, featuring a large chrome frame, an optional light strip surrounding the grille, a smoked-glass imitation on the lower section, and three slats with two air intakes between them, integrating 942 polycarbonate points illuminated from behind. The Mercedes emblem is embedded in the slats and can also be optionally illuminated.
From the first teaser you can also see the proportions of the car, with short overhangs and a long hood that houses a spacious frunk of over 100 liters. Just like the GLC EQ, we expect the wheelbase of the electric version built on the dedicated electric MB.EA platform to be slightly longer than the 2,865 mm of the traditional sedan based on the MRA II platform.
The mirrors are positioned on the doors, while the exterior door handles are integrated into the body for better aerodynamics, just like on the GLC EQ.
The Mercedes C-Class EQ will be Mercedes’ second electric model to use the new dedicated MB.EA electric platform, featuring 800V technology, a silicon-carbide inverter, and a configuration with a rear motor with a two-speed transmission plus a front motor.
With the release of the first teaser, Mercedes also revealed the specifications of the smaller battery options.
The Mercedes GLC EQ was launched in the GLC 400 4Matic version with a 94 kWh net Li-Ion battery, which will also be available on the C-Class EQ.
Thanks to the better aerodynamic coefficient and lower silhouette, the dual-motor C 400 4Matic with the same 489 PS output as the GLC 400 4Matic promises a range of just over 750 km, compared to 673 km for the GLC 400 4Matic. Like the GLC 400 4Matic, the 94 kWh battery in the C-Class EQ can charge at up to 330 kW from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes.
In addition to the large battery, the Mercedes C-Class EQ will also be available with two other batteries:
-
A Li-Ion battery with a net capacity of 85 kWh, similar to the one used in the CLA, promising a range of about 740 km and supporting charging at up to 320 kW from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. This version will have a 367 PS motor on the rear axle.
-
An LFP battery with a net capacity of 64 kWh, promising a range of about 560 km for the base C 300 version with a single rear-axle motor.
The dashboard will be similar to that of the GLC EQ. In the standard version, it comes with two displays of 10.3 and 14 inches grouped under the same glass panel, plus a star-pattern panel in front of the passenger. The second version named Superscreen adds an extra 14-inch display for the passenger.
The top Hyperscreen version features a single 39.1-inch display spanning the entire width of the dashboard.
The multimedia system uses the new proprietary MB.OS software, which is based on Google services and artificial intelligence from Google and Microsoft. A head-up display and augmented-reality navigation will be optional.
The Mercedes C-Class EQ will be unveiled in September 2026, but before that, in April 2026, Mercedes will present the facelift of the traditional C-Class sedan.
