Every Mercedes-Benz car is built for the long term. They are survivors because they were created to last. “Poetry in motion” illustrates the portrait of the owner of a 1957 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, someone who longed for this car for almost 30 years.
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is a titan who speaks about the power it possessed in a past era, when it used to dominate the roads, and also about the classic beauty that still attracts more viewers than ever. Such a car is not only a pleasure for the eyes. To actually hear the engine or to feel the car itself is nothing but a dream that came true.
“It takes an hour to get to the gas station, because all of a sudden you have 20 people around you…Set a goal, start early and prove that nothing is impossible” says the owner of the car who waited almost a lifetime to buy this 300 SL.
But then we get to another question. Should these timeless cars be kept in a museum for the next generations or should they ramble free on the roads? We do know that people will never reach a consensus, but thanks to the classic cars enthusiasts, we will continue to see these beauties on the road. For how long…it is yet unknown.
