The new Mercedes-Benz GLE is the star of a comprehensive new photo gallery, that show it in new colors and new postures. Benefitting from an innovative 48-Volt suspension system, the SUV boldly goes anywhere.
The go-anywhere vehicle uses the active E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL, in combination with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system to engage a rocking mode that can help the GLE extricate itself when it gets in rough conditions, on unfriendly driving surfaces, making it extra confident on any terrain.
The new SUV presented in Paris this fall gets the MBUX intuitive system based on artificial intelligence. It can be operated via hand control as well, as it recognizes the movements of the driver’s and those of the front passenger’s hands.

For the first time, the new Mercedes-Benz GLE can accommodate seven occupants, all thanks to its 80 millimeters longer wheelbase of almost three meters (2.995 mm). This translates into enough space for the rear passengers as well, as they get almost one meter of legroom. The third row is fully adjustable, a unique feature in the segment. The third row is available as an option.
The robust GLE also boasts an impressive drag coefficient figure of only 0.29, which makes it the most aerodynamic SUV out there. Additionally, its quiet, vibration-free driving is best-in-class.
For the first time, the SUV also gets the Trailer Manoeuvring Assist, that makes manoeuvring with a trailer easier even for those who have never done it before. The system controls the steering angle of the towing vehicle automatically. The GLE is now capable of towing a maximum of 3500 kg.
