Mercedes-Benz will reveal the EQA soon. Three clips with three influencers will show the “first time moments” in the electric compact SUV.

The premium car company will reveal the new electric model on January 20, on the Mercedes me media platform. The original recording in English will come with transcripts in a total of nine languages.  Marius Philipp, Product Manager EQA, and Jorg Bartels, Head of Integration Complete Vehicle, will detail the highlights of the car.

The EQA, the smallest of the electric range, will combine the practical features of its sister model GLA with the highly efficient electric drive. The car in the EQA 250 variant will benefit from the presence of a 140 kW electric motor. After the market launch, further power variants, up to 200 kW, with two motors and an all-wheel drive system, will follow suit. An AMG high-performance version is also in the cards

The EV will feature a standard navigation system with Electric Intelligence. The system calculates the fastest route to the destination. It also considers the necessary stops for charging, taking into account topography and weather.

The Digital World Premiere scheduled to take place next week will include videos, graphics, press releases and images. Experts will be open to provide all information regarding the new zero-emission model.

Mercedes has delayed the arrival of the EQA

This past November, Mercedes revealed images from the final test phase of the EQA and EQB and hinted their arrival is inching closer. The premium car company had to delay the launch of the electric models due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The future electric SUV will hit the showrooms in spring. Just like the EQC, the EQA will come with the EVA 1.5 platform, that the premium car company plans to use on all electric cars until 2025. The architecture has been derived from the MFA II of the A-Class, B-Class, GLA and GLB. Starting 2025, a new platform will enter series production.
