The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance takes place on August 14–17, 2026, where Mercedes is celebrating 140 years since its foundation with two famous models—the 1905 American Mercedes and the 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Streamliner. The brand is also presenting a selection of future collector cars from Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach, as well as a near-identical version of LeBron James’ Mercedes-Maybach S 680.

Mercedes is celebrating its 140th anniversary with two exceptional cars: the one-off 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Streamliner, which demonstrates Mercedes’ expertise in aerodynamics during the 1930s, and the last surviving example of the 1905 American Mercedes, one of the first high-performance automobiles built in the United States and the first Mercedes produced in the USA. The car is returning to Pebble Beach more than 120 years after it was built in Queens, New York, and has been fully restored by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Long Beach.

Another highlight is the Future Classics Auction House, an exhibition inspired by the world’s most prestigious auction houses, showcasing a selection of exclusive Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach models. Among them is an almost identical “twin” of LeBron James’ personal Mercedes-Maybach S 680, an AMG PureSpeed, an AMG G 63 in Galactic Pearl, an AMG ONE, as well as other models demonstrating the virtually unlimited personalization possibilities offered by Mercedes’ MANUFAKTUR division.

This Mercedes-Maybach S 680, finished in the exclusive MANUFAKTUR Light Ivory non-metallic paint, features a Stormy Weather blue Nappa leather interior with contrasting porcelain-colored stitching, James’ personal emblem in place of the traditional V12 badge, and discreet engravings referencing Akron, Ohio, and his family. The car was created by LeBron James through the MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure program.

After Pebble Beach, the car will be auctioned, with the proceeds donated to the LeBron James Family Foundation.

Through the MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure program, customers work individually with Mercedes specialists to transform a personal idea into a technically feasible automobile with an exceptionally high degree of personalization.

To support this program, Mercedes has opened its first MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure hub in the USA at the Mercedes-Benz Studio Los Angeles in Beverly Hills. It is only the second MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure center in the world, after the Center of Excellence in Sindelfingen, Germany.

While the Future Classics Auction House showcases potential collector cars of the future, Mercedes-Benz Classic is presenting several classic collector cars. In addition to the two models mentioned above—the 1905 American Mercedes and the 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Streamliner—the exhibition will feature a CLK 63 AMG Black Series, a 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II, a 300 SL Roadster and a Benz Patent-Motorwagen.

Last but not least, Mercedes will unveil the new high-performance Mercedes-AMG GT SUV in a world premiere at Pebble Beach. It is built on the same architecture as the new all-electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé.
