The Mercedes-Benz G-Class off-roader gets extended equipment starting September 1st. Customers will also have further customization available. The V8 engine of the G 500 has disappeared from the program.
Starting this fall, the G 400 d variant is available and configurable worldwide with no restriction. This happens due to the fact that the previous special model has been discontinued.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class also gets a new “Desert” drive program. Drivers can select it via the DYNAMIC SELECT rocker switch whenever they go on dune bashing, for example.
There will also be a Parking Package with reversing camera as standard equipment.
Customers will, starting this fall, have the possibility to further customize the model they order. Therefore, they will be able to order the Night Package without ticking the box for the AMG Line and Stainless Steel Package. It brings heat-insulating dark-tinted glass, mirror housing and radiator grille in obsidian black, as well as darkened turn signal lamps, reversing lamps and headlamps.
The model gets brand-new 20-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels exclusively with the AMG Line in high-sheen finish, in high-gloss black or Himalaya grey.
The standard equipment list will also include the widescreen cockpit and the frameless inside rear-view mirror. These were previously part of the Leather Packages. The new equipment packages Urban Guard Vehicle Protection and Urban Guard Vehicle Protection Plus will include an anti-theft alarm system. The tow-away protection with visual and audible will warn the owner when a position change is detected and alarm siren. The top package will also pinpoint the location of the car when stolen. The Urban Guard label will show on the front side windows to keep thieves away.
