Not much has changed about the Mercedes-Benz G-Class in it’s over 35-year history. But the legendary boxy SUV is now getting decorations inside-out, just in time for Christmas. Customers can now make the G look according to their preferences and personality, all thanks to the ex-factory ‘designo manufaktur’ program.
After launching the “Crazy Color” edition, Mercedes-Benz is offering even more colors for the exterior of the iconic G. The cross-country vehicle can now come in non-metallic paint finish such as opal or designo allanite grey magno and designo yellow olive magno. For those who prefer the metallic tones, there is the Mauritius blue metallic to suit their taste. All models can get the roof painted in obsidian black.
An ample line-up of light-alloy black wheels are available as well.
The fans of the legendary G can now get the super popular Night package, finally available for their Mercedes giant, striking black details in obsidian black such as mirror housing, flared wheel arches, bumpers and roof included. Heat-insulating, dark-tinted glass from the B-pillar are also part of the Night Package.
And it is not just the outside that gets extra attention. The new additions include designo leather upholstery in saddle brown, deep-sea blue, silk beige and mocha brown. To emphasize the hand-finished concept, the topstitching on the seats, headrests, dashboard, doorhandles and handbrake lever are perfectly matching the upholstery colors.
Exclusively for the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and G 65 models, “designo manufaktur” came up with an extra sporty DINAMICA Interior package, which includes the AMG performance steering wheel covered in black nappa leather, with the grip zone trimmed in DINAMICA microfiber. The seats and the door center panels, along with the roof liner, headrests, dashboard, door handles, armrests and handbrake got white topstitching.
