In the early 1970s, Mercedes-Benz built what many believe was the finest automobile in the world. Those who liked driving in open air had no finer choice than the Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet (W108), a car of great appeal for worldwide enthusiasts.
This particular 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet model is a right-hand drive version, one of the just 68 right-hand drive 280SE Cabrio models ever produced. But we know passion has no limits and you don’t have to be from Australia or UK in order to buy this beauty.

At the time it made its debut, the 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet was Mercedes-Benz’s fastest, most luxurious and most expensive convertible at that time: there’s a 3.5-litre V8 engine under the hood and that stands for 201 hp.
According to its owner – who, by the way, owns one of the world’s largest restoration companies – sent it to his facility and instructed the staff to “make it as good, if not better than the way it came from the factory”. This means that a full bare metal re-spray was conducted in black and all the chrome work has been refreshed.
In addition, the V8 engine has been completely rebuilt along with the 4-speed automatic transmission, brakes and suspension.
