The Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition by Carlex Design is a tribute to the carmaker’s racing heritage. “It is a daring breakaway from standard solutions”, the tuner claims. What does it actually mean by that?

Carlex Design has made the Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition for those who are bold enough to grab the wheel of the superb machine. A machine that looks so much different from how it looked the moment it rolled off the assembly line. The experts from Carlex manually brushed the entire body of the model. They subsequently painted it in a bottle green shade, Racing Green, to underline the racing heritage of AMG. This AMG variant carries out technology from the GT3 and GT4 racers.

The GT R PRO now runs on bespoke multi-spoke brushed silver wheels that draw attention like a magnet at the very first sight.

Carlex has thoroughly overworked the interior as well. The Tattoo Edition blends luxury, the DNA of a sports car and the tattoo culture, using some of the most common patterns. Skulls, swords, wings, coats of arms completely remake the ambiance onboard the GT R PRO. A gloomy space now enhances the need to push the pedal to the metal. Carlex claims that it is the ambient of a real tattoo studio.

The front seats are wrapped in leather and Alcantara and so are the center console, the armrest and door panels, the headliner and pillars. The steering wheel also underwent a transformation, displaying an Alcantara grip area, plus the 12 o’clock mark in green, opposite to the flattened bottom section. There are also new Alcantara floor mats.

How much does the Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition cost?

This entire package comes with quite a price tag. It’s the kind of amount of money not many people afford to pay for an entire car. Carlex  Design asks 58,000 euros to transform your Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro.

The GT R PRO comes with the company’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that sends 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque to the tarmac. These are the figures that help it flash its way from zero to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 318 km/h.
