Mercedes has unveiled a limited edition of only 200 examples of the Mercedes-AMG GT called the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4Matic+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition”.

The limited series Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4Matic+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition” is distinguished by Exclusive paintwork with star pattern and Petronas-colored contrasting elements. It is painted in obsidian black metallic, inspired by the F1 car, and has a hand-painted star pattern with silver Mercedes stars on the rear flanks. Also, the filigree, PETRONAS-colored decorative stripes extend from the front fenders over the belt line to the roof and are featured on the front splitter and the flics of the side air intakes.

The car is equipped with 21-inch AMG forged wheels with a matte black finish and cross-spoke design with Petronas-colored rim flanges, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 2R Cup tires measuring 295/30 ZR21 at the front and 305/30 ZR21 at the rear. The brake calipers of the 420-mm-diameter ceramic-disc braking system at the front match the Petronas color.

AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre, AMG Night Package II, and AMG Aerodynamics packages are standard. AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre includes a front splitter, trim strips in the side sills, and diffuser and rear wing in high-quality carbon fiber, while the AMG Aerodynamics package comes with a fixed rear wing.

The official Petronas color is also found inside, with the standard AMG Performance seats upholstered in black Nappa leather/Microcut microfibre with Petronas-coloured topstitching and embossed AMG crests in the head restraints. Inside, carbon-fiber elements are elegantly combined with Petronas-coloured stitching on the heated AMG Performance steering wheel and the door trim panels, the instrument panel, and the center console, while the door-sill trims are illuminated in Petronas colors.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4Matic+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition” comes generously equipped as standard with a Burmester 3D audio system with 15 speakers and 1,170w, the 360-degree camera, MBUX Interior Assistant, Driver Assistance Package, head-up display, and AMG Track Pace program. The inscription “‘1 out of 200” is located in the center console, confirming the number of that particular example out of the 200 produced.

This model isn’t offered with the more powerful AMG GT 63 E Performance plug-in hybrid powertrain, but with the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine developing 612 PS, which features an oversized cooling system to improve driving dynamics. Presumably, Mercedes wanted this limited production model to be lighter and more agile, with fuel economy less important (14 l/100 km WLTP).
