The new Marco Polo was voted the Compact Camper Van of the year 2015 by the readers of promobil trade journal. Mercedes-Benz took the first place, winning 41.8 percent of the total votes.
The award will be presented on January 17, 2015 at the international exhibition for caravanning, motoring, tourism (CMT) which will take place in Stuttgart. It is the very first time when the Marco Polo receives the Compact Camper Van award.
The van impresses with its unique combination of cutting-edge design, maximum functionality, being suitable for daily use. The camper van looks extremely exquisite thanks to its elegant design, high-quality materials, bright colors and discreet ambient lighting. What’s more, the camper van has enough space for four passengers and it features a fully equipped kitchenette, extremely comfortable beds and even a wardrobe.
The Marco Polo is as dynamic and comfortable as every other Mercedes-Benz car, due to its compact body and impressive vehicle technology. The camper van also provides an exemplary level of safety because of the driver assistance systems like the Crosswind Assist and Attention Asssist, both offered in standard.
Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz Vans achieves another success with the best base vehicles: The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter took the second place in the promobil reader’s choice poll, with 43.4 perfect of the votes.
The promobil reader’s choice poll for the best camper van of the year was conducted for the 28th time. It’s also worth mentioning that readers were able to choose from a total of 220 models in 10 categories, ranging from compact camper vans to spacious liners.
