Mercedes-Benz starts 2017 en fanfare. The German luxury brand will be taking center stage, at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The company’s presence at the event will focus on the new CASE strategy: Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service and Electric Drive. In a world premiere, the Concept EQ and the Mercedes-Benz Vision Van will share a stage.

Mercedes-Benz goes to Las Vegas for the beginning of 2017, as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) opens its gates. Starting the 5th of January, the car brand will have at its disposal a 600 m2 stand, to prove its competence in the field of connectivity and mobility.

“Our notion of mobility will change more dramatically in the next five to ten years than in the preceding 50,” stated Ola Källenius, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and, from January 2017, responsible for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development. “Our CASE strategy will help us shape the future of mobility. The car of the future must be networked, autonomous, emissions-free and deliver the possibility of shared mobility.”

The Concept EQ and the Mercedes-Benz Vision Van will be on the same stage for the first time, in Las Vegas. In the wake of the launch of a sporty SUV crossover, the Concept EQ previews a new vehicle generation with battery electric drive. The Mercedes-Benz Vision Van, on the other hand, is a revolutionary van study for urban use, combining a wide range of innovative technologies for ‘last mile’ deliveries in an integrated system.

The guests at the event will have the chance to discuss stringent topics with the Mercedes-Benz experts, all part of a team led by Guy Kawasaki, tech evangelist and Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador. They will take place at 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on 5 and 6 January and will be streamed live on www.facebook.com/MercedesBenz and www.mercedes-benz.com/livestream.
