If you grew up playing Super Mario on your MS-DOS or on your Nintendo console, you know what we’re talking about. If not, you are about to learn. The iconic Nintendo Super Mario game gets a new event course and a new car: the Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Mercedes-Benz has developed an Event Course for the new Nintendo game “Super Mario Maker”. Bearing the name “Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive”, the new level sees Mario behind the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz GLA. Players must complete the level in order to add the GLA to their collection of Mario costumes in the game.
The Mercedes-Benz Event Course developed together with the worldwide pioneer in the creation of interactive entertainment, takes players through a variety of automotive-related areas, including being at the dealership, taking a test drive through a city and eventually cruising down the autobahn.
To make the Super Mario fans better understand the new game circumstances, Mercedes-Benz has produced a short video.
“We are delighted to once again be represented in a blockbuster game like Super Mario Maker,” says Dr. Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “Mercedes-Benz and Nintendo have a lot in common. Above all, they share the same vision: to inspire their customers and fans – whether in real life or in the virtual world.”
So far, Nintendo has sold more than 4.3 billion video games and more than 686 million hardware units globally. It has also created industry icons such as Mario™, Donkey Kong™, Metroid™, Zelda™ and Pokémon™.
