It's a good start for Mercedes-Benz in the US - Record sales in January!

Mercedes-Benz put their best foot forward in the sales race. The American branch of the German premium brand reported record sales in January. 26,962 Mercedes-Benz vehicles were sold in the US in the first month of 2016.

With 24,619 passenger cars, 1,899 vans and 399 smarts, Mercedes-Benz USA reached its highest January to date, with a total of 26,962 vehicles, topping last year’s figures of 26,616 units and marking a 1.3% growth.

“On the heels of our highest volume sales year in MBUSA’s history, January is continuing the momentum into 2016. Our new product offerings, including the new E-Class, will continue to bring our customers the best in experience and innovation”, said Dietmar Exler, the new president and CEO of MBUSA. ”

The C-Class stays a best seller as it has been for the past four years, with a total of 5,079 units delivered in January. The mid-sized limousine was followed closely, as the charts below shows, by the new GLE, with 3,515 cars sold, and the compact sedan CLA making it to top three with 3,168 units.

1,904 lucky customers have just received the keys of their brand-new Mercedes-AMG performance vehicle, a 141% increase compared to last year’s first month, when only 790 AMGs were sold. The BlueTEC diesel lineup was a first choice for 334 customers.
