Following introduction on the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+ limousine and T-Model, Mercedes extend the range of the Mercedes-AMG 53 models with CLS 53 4Matic+, E 53 4Matic+ Coupe and E 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet.

All Mercedes-AMG 53 models are powered by the new electrified 3.0 litre 6 inline engine with twin charging, 435 HP and an EQ boost starter generator. The all new Mercedes CLS 53 4Matic+, E 53 4Matic+ Coupe and E 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet will be available at the dealers from August.

The 53-series models are powered by a mild hybrid system which combine a conventional 3,0 litre 6 inline bi-turbo petrol engine  with a starter generator which provide additional 16 kW and 250 Nm. All engines correspond to the Euro 6d-TEMP Norm.
The starter generator replace the classic alternator and has two functions. When accelerate, the starter generator helps the thermic engine to accelerate and thus reduce the fuel consumption. When take off the foot from the pedal or when you decelerate, the starter generator recuperates the energy from braking, transform into kinetic energie and feeds the 48V on-board electrical system.

This innovation has two great advantages: reduce the fuel consumption and increase the acceleration performance. All three models mentioned above are fitted with the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G gearbox, the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all wheel drive and the AMG Ride Control+ air suspension.

The new 53 series models have a distinctive unique look. The distinctive feature common to the models is the twin-blade radiator grille in silver chrome. AMG-specific side sill panels lend the 53-series models a more dynamic silhouette. Viewed from the tail end, it is the restyled rear apron with its classically round twin tailpipe trims which catches the eye. The spoiler lip on the boot lid is painted in the body colour, but is optionally also available in carbon-fibre.The interior of the new AMG models is fitted standard with the new AMG Perfromance steering wheel in nappa-leather with individualisation options such as wood inserts in piano lacquer od Dinamica microfiber in the grip area.

The Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4Matic+ will be available at the market launch also with the Edition 1 package. This luxury package include the Copper Art interior design, black nappa-leather with copper coloured contrasting topstitching. Other standard equipment include ambient lighting with 64 colours, the memory and Mirror Package plus the exclusive IWC analogue clock.

Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4Matic+ has a price of 84,430.50 euro while the Edition 1 versions will cost 97,282.50 euro.
