Mercedes announced prices for the new E-Class, SLC and SL with deliveries commencing in April. The E-Class prices starts at 45,303.50 euro, with only 1.2% more than its predecessor at the same equipment level. And the new base version of the SLC – SLC 180 – costs 34,926.50 euro.
The new E-Class is available with three engines at market launch. The E 200 with 2 liter 4-cylinder turbo and 184 HP costs 45,303.50 euro, while the new E 220 d with the new 2 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine with 195 HP is available from 47,124 euro. The third version available at launch E 350 d (3 liter V6 turbodiesel, 258 HP) has a price of 55,602.75 euro.
Despite a significant increase in efficiency and output (195 HP compared with 170 HP) and far lower fuel consumption (3.9 l/100 km compared with 4.5 l/100 km), the basic price of the new E 220 d is comparable with that of the previous E 220 BlueTec (47,124 euro vs 46,954.50 euro).
The new 9G-Tronic nine speead automatic gearbox, Thermatic Automatic Climate Control, Dynbamic Select adaptive drive train with five modes, the Audio 20 USD multimedia system, electrically adjustable front seats and safety systems like Active Brake Assist and Pre-Safe are standard equipment.
On the option list you can find innovative high-tech technologies like: high resolution Multibeam headlamps (2,320.50 euro), Air Body Control (2,261 euro), Driving Assistance package (2,261 euro), Remote parking Pilot available in combination with Parking package (1,725.50 euro) and Comand Online (3,272.50 euro).
The new configurable display – a premiere for Mercedes – costs 1,011.50 euro while Comand Online multimedia system has a price of 3,272.50 euro.
20 years after its launch, SLK compact roadster is to be relaunched in April with a new name – the SLC. With this occassion, Mercedes launch a new base version – SLC 180 – powered by the 1.6 liter turbo ebngine with 156 HP. The new SLC 180 costs 34,926.50 euro being with almost 5,000 euro cheaper than the former entry level model SLK 200 (184 HP).
The current SLC 200 with 184 HP costs 39,805.30 euro while the new AMG SL 43 with 3 liter V6 biturbo and 367 HP has a price of 59,886.75 euro. The former SLK 55 AMG with 421 HP had a price of over 70,000 euro.
The new SL is even more dynamic thanks to the new 9G-Tronic transmission fitted as standard and Active Body Control with the curve tilting function.
The model range starts with SL 400 (367 HP, 500 Nm) available from 99,097.25 euro. The SL 500 with a powerful V8 developing 455 HP has a price of 122,897.25 euro.
