Mercedes-Benz has just teased the future GLC SUV. The premium carmaker will soon reveal the new generation that will be completely electrified.

Mercedes accounts the car with a sporty design and luxurious interior, with the latter being fully digitalized. Future customers can expect the latest version of the MBUX system to be on board.

Off-road performance is also part of the plan, as the car will get the 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard, plus special driving programs.

The teaser that Mercedes presented shows part of the rear end, displaying new taillights that are slimmer than those of the current generation. There is what seems to be a fake air vent behind the rear wheel, there is a roof spoiler, and there might be an air diffuser. All of these are a clear hint to an AMG Line trim.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLC will also get AMG versions

The future Mercedes-Benz GLC will come with the platform of the C-Class. The Germans now mention variable space. It is time Mercedes equipped its crossover with the sliding rear seats, a feature quite common in the segment. The engine lineup will most likely mirror that of the C-Class. Plug-in hybrid variants will come with more than 100 kilometers (62 miles) of electric drive.

A Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 with a mild-hybrid drive for the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a GLC 63 will be available for those looking for a sporty crossover.

Mercedes-Benz will reveal the new GLC on the 1st of June at 5:00 p.m. (CEST) on the Mercedes me media online platform and on other channels of the carmaker. Mercedes is preparing a completely new film concept that provides a look behind the scenes of the digital product launches. A passionate but slightly confused direction, an overzealous team and a smart Formula 1 driver are also part of the script.
