Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition will soon hit the U.S. Showrooms. Known as the “Night Edition” in Europe, the package brings elements that enhance the dynamic personality of the car.
The Night Edition comes for extra 12,528 euros in Germany. But the prices are yet to be announced in the U.S. Similar to the European package, the Stealth Edition brings the AMG Exterior Night Package, black brake calipers, an AMG radiator grille in dark chrome and headlamps with black elements, as Mercedes-AMG promises.
The car runs on lightweight alloys with a Y-spoke design. They measure 19 inches on the front axle and 20 inches on the rear axle.
The coupe gets a carbon-fiber roof, while the roadster gains a black top. The black calipers are for the coupe and the roadster as well. Both variants receive the AMG Interior Night Package, AMG Performance seats and an AMG steering wheel in DINAMICA microfiber with shift pedals. There are of course the black topstitching, the black piano trim and a special Stealth Edition badge, confirming that we’re dealing with a special version.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition keeps the V8 heart
The Mercedes-AMG GT “Stealth Edition” keeps its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine, that develops 523 horsepower, 54 more than before, and 494 pound-feet of torque, 29 pound-feet more. These are the figures that the model inherited from the former GT S top-of-the-range variant following this summer’s update. The resources go straight to the rear axle via a dual-clutch transmission.
The AMG coupe and roaster also benefit from the presence of a lithium-ion starter and from that of a “Race” drive mode.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition only need 3.7 seconds to perform the 0 to 60 mph run. They are thus 0.2 seconds faster than the variants they replace. The top speed of the Mercedes-AMG GT Stealth Edition is 194 mph, while the roadster stops just one mile back.
