The long-awaited moment has come, at least for UK-based clients. Mercedes-Benz opened the ordering in the UK for the AMG GT and the supercar received a starting price tag of £97,195.
Can’t wait to buy the new AMG GT? Well, if you live in the UK, things just got better. For the starting price mentioned above you can get the base AMG GT version. What does base mean when it comes to Mercedes-Benz and the AMG GT? Most important, a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 which delivers 462 hp and 600 Nm.
However, if that does not seem enough, you could go for the AMG GT S version which offers a starting price of £110,495. More money, more fun, as the AMG GT S comes with 510 hp and 650 Nm, as well as with larger, 20-inch wheels, brake calipers painted in red and other goodies like the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension system plus an electronically-controlled rear differential.
Still not satisfied? For a hefty £122,745 you can get your hands on the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1, packed with even more cool stuff: a fixed rear wing, a front splitter, carbon fiber roof and black mirror housings. Nevertheless, the interior will work its magic on you thanks to its red contrasting stitching and a leather & suede finish for the superb AMG Performance Seats.
Wait, there’s more. Mercedes-Benz offers an optional Premium Pack for an extra £4,195. This adds a reversing camera, a panoramic sunroof, keyless go and most important, a 640-watt Burmester sound system.
According to Mercedes-Benz, the first cars are set to arrive in April 2015, initially available in GT S and GT S Edition 1 variants, while the base AMG GT is set to follow in late 2015.
