In the same time with B-Class facelift, Mercedes updated CLA model range. The Safety systems, comfort, infotainment, ambience, equipments and the output were the ones that suffered few changes.
Concerning the Safety systems – Collision Prevention Assist Plus is basically an extension of the previous system with an additional partial braking which helps reducing the risk of rear-end collisions, but only when the driver doesn’t act on time. Attention Assist system has been upgraded as well, Traffic Sign Recognition recognizes more traffic signs, speed limits or other restrictions.
Keyless-Go is a brand new optional extras which helps opening, starting or locking the vehicle, all for your comfort.
Here comes the fun part. The infotainment system with more intuitive controls, animated menus and visual representations on the display. It features a new 8 inches free-standing display, the “Mercedes connect me” standard services are provided as part of the basic specification, and, obviously, they can be enhanced with the addition of further options. Good news for those who own an iPhone: The Media Interface system is now available as standard and allows connecting the Apple® device using only the “Apple Lightning” interface.
Twelve color schemes are being offered by the ambient lighting system and it can suit any taste or mood. On the exterior, the AMG 19-inch multi-spoke light alloy-wheels are available for the sports models and regarding the output, the CLA 220 CDI comes with an extra 7 HP and deliver now 177 HP.
