After revealing the silhouette of the new electric coupe in the Las Vegas video featuring George Russell and Brad Pitt, as well as during winter testing in Sweden, and after presenting the interior a few months ago, Mercedes will officially unveil the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe on May 20, 2026.
Mercedes has chosen to reveal the new fully electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe in several stages. The Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept was presented on June 25, 2025 in Affalterbach, followed by the sensational endurance record of 40,075 km covered in less than 8 days, including a peak of 5,479 km in 24 hours.
At the end of 2025, Mercedes revealed the lines of the high-performance coupe in the promotional video featuring George Russell and Brad Pitt, while in April 2026 it released new images from the final winter tests.
Meanwhile, in March 2025, Mercedes presented the interior of the new electric super coupe, highlighted by the rotary controls on the center tunnel known as the AMG Race Engineer control unit. The “Response Control” dial manages the response of the electric motors, the “Agility Control” rotary switch adjusts agility around the vertical axis, while the “Traction Control” rotary switch influences traction control intervention across nine stages.
The dashboard is dominated by three displays: a 10.2-inch screen for the digital instruments, a 14-inch multimedia display slightly angled toward the driver, and optionally another 14-inch display for the front passenger.
Two types of seats are available: standard seats and AMG Performance seats, while the flat-bottom steering wheel features roller and rocker switches.
Although it is a four-door coupe, the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe offers two individual rear seats, while a conventional rear bench seat can be ordered as an option. The huge panoramic roof extends all the way to the rear window and can switch between transparent and opaque modes.
The ninth-generation MB.OS operating system will use Google services for navigation as well as artificial intelligence from both Google and Microsoft.
Mercedes-AMG has not released many details about the powertrain yet, but we know the new coupe will be based on the high-performance AMG.EA platform featuring a cylindrical-cell battery and YASA axial-flux motors, for which Mercedes has announced incredible performance figures. Weighing only 24 kg, a single YASA motor can produce up to 348 kW (474 PS). As a result, the top-version Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will deliver more than 1,000 kW (1,360 PS).
Mercedes continues to develop the YASA motors, and the latest evolution of this motor weighs only 13.1 kg while producing up to 758 PS.
