Mercedes-Benz made sure that this year’s Auto Guangzhou and Los Angeles Auto Show will set new horizons for the German brand with a lively presence both on the American and Chinese stage.
We all know that the majestic Mercedes-Maybach S-Class made its debut on the eve of the Auto Guangzhou 2014, a world premiere which took place in South China’s economic powerhouse.
On this occasion, Mercedes presented the flagship model of its new sub-brand: the Mercedes-Maybach S 600. As we already presented, the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 uses a wheelbase 20 centimeters longer than the long-wheelbase S-Class and has been gifted with a V12 engine delivering no less than 530 hp.
However, the Chinese public could witness the debut of the S-Class Coupe, which is available on the Chinese market as the Mercedes-Benz S500 Coupe and in its AMG version represented by the S 63 Coupe.
The model S 63 AMG Coupe is being touted by Mercedes-Benz as the sportiest and most dynamic S-Class coupe they have ever built, while the normal version is seen as the most beautiful S-Class ever produced.
Mercedes-Benz also had a strong appearance at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, which takes place in parallel to the Auto Guangzhou. Besides the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the American public could see live two AMG newcomers: the AMG C 63 and the new AMG-GT, the second vehicle to be designed and engineered fully in-house after the SLS AMG sports car.
