A daring render shows the iconic Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR in a Mercedes-AMG ONE approach. Would the car with racing pedigree turn heads if it were to look like this?

Powered by four electric motors and a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 taken straight from the Formula 1 cars together with the high-tech KERS energy recovery technology, the Mercedes-AMG ONE, introduced in 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, has already inspired plenty of digital renders.

The latest of them is the one designed by Rain Prisk. It seems that the two meet half-way in this digital project, as the design of the CLK GT follows sleek lines and rounded shapes of the ONE, but does not fail to keep its retro flare.

A simpler radiator grille, additional air vents behind the front wheels for the optimization of the air flow, similar to those of the AMG GT, accompany the shark fin. Taken over from the ONE hypercar, a roof scoop further enhances aerodynamics.

If the hypercar is anything to go by, the power should also be inherited by a possible CLK GTR. The system provides more than 1,000 horsepower and may hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in approximately 2.5 seconds, figures similar to those of the Bugatti Chiron.

The former Formula 1 World Champion, Nico Robserg, has already tested the ONE.
