Disappointment? The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S has just clocked a very light time advantage ahead of the Renault Megane RS Trophy on the Hockenheim race track.
The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S has a very impressive technical data sheet. With its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 421 horsepower, it’s the most powerful compact sports car in the world. Mercedes-AMG also advertises a 0 to 100 km / hour sprint of just 3.9 seconds, unprecedented for a car in this segment.
Now, the German journalists from Sport Auto magazine have brought the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S to the Hockenheim circuit, just to see how the hot hatch manages on this track with many chronometric references (see video).

And the result achieved finally seems a little disappointing. With a lap time of 2:00:70, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S finished only one tenth ahead of the 300-horsepower Renault Megane RS Trophy. And 1.2 seconds behind the Audi TT RS and its 400 horsepower. The fight is on!
